Final Artist Statement (webventure)

This was not the most exciting project for me, I really struggled coming up with ideas and twists and turns. I am not a huge fan of this style of assignment, because I felt like I could not fully express myself artistically. It was good to get familiar with how to make a gif, even though it was a very frustrating process. My webventure includes my viewers being chosen to enter space and travel dimensions, from there you choose your path. Essentially, there are only two main paths. A Rick and Morty (my favorite show) path, or a bug planet dimension. Where you choose whether you would marry the bug king or not. I have a good amount of easter eggs hiding, which I think was my strongest skill throughout this project. I enjoyed coming up with ideas for each different scenario but wish I included more diversity, I just could not come up with something unique. My gifs are also a favorite of mine, because I spent the most time on them and they really bring each page space to life. I think looking back on it, I would have chosen a simpler idea to execute because it would have made the diversity of paths to travel easier. My idea revolved more around the element of surprise, and not knowing what will come next. Overall, I am glad I learned what I did from this project and cannot wait to continue my Digital Art knowledge next semester!
