For this project I have a couple ideas floating around to work with. When we were first introduced to this, I wanted to take a political approach because of how recent the downfall of this country has been. My original plan was to project vulgur videos and images that I personally manipulated and glitched, to expose our newly found president. In order to make this even more powerful, I wanted to project onto a female mannequin. When I searched around, it was hard to find a full size mannequin that would come in time. So I have been directing my idea more towards representing gender and focusing on how trippy I can make my installation. My new goal is to use my own animations and artistic style to make my installation as visually pleasing as possible. I want people to watch my exhibit and get lost in it, rather than feel more hurt or anger. I plan to animate faces and project them onto some form of face, whether I make the structures myself with thick paper or find a different form of mannequin to project map. I want all projections to be my own art if time allows, but also not shy away from the ability to steal other animations of my liking to enhance my projection and a visually pleasing, vibrant, trippy experience.
