I really enjoyed the glitch aspect of this lab and it inspired me to do to more of my personal photos because I never knew you could pull up the code of an image and mess with it. For this project I want my focus to be mastering the glitch effect on images. I also have never generated random Ai photos before and I am really
glad I got introduced to those generators because I had a lot of fun with it. Watching the technology try to incorporate every word you entered and make them work together was really fascinating. I think it is hard for me to brainstorm my direction on this project because it seems so randomized and going with the flow of mistakes. Embracing them. I think I can plan to really mess things up and get freaky and off-putting with my results. I think the randomness and lack of boundaries to this prompt is really intriguing and playing around with opposites will be fun for me. Like combining a positively seen image or subject with an eerie aspect as well. My favorite image that I created was the barbie in a scary town in a car and I managed to glitch the color to red and blue which also created a duplicate of the barbies face. I want to try and recreate that for one of my finals. The unknown and unexpected aspect is really exciting because that is how I create art currently, abstract is just going with the mistakes and making something eye catching out of it.
