My First Zine

My idea for this project was to depict the/my world with and without music. Very recently I developed a closer relationship with music. I love connecting with a song to the point where I have it on repeat and it has the power to change my mood. Everything is better with music. Parties would not be a party without music, it guides our world and environment. I have noticed how different things are when I include music. I listened to music while creating these images and it made the process much more smooth. I refuse to walk to class without charged airpods because it starts my day out much better. This project turned into a rollercoaster for me. I had no issue with representing my works exactly how I wanted, but shit hit the fan (if you will) when it came to printing and putting things together. Thomas, the print man, and I tried to figure out how to print but the total came out to $250. Which was not in the books for me, so he told me to try the printer upstairs. That printer did not have a double-sided option so I had to glue them back to back. I messed up on two copies trying to figure out my technique and ended up not liking the texture but had no choice but to thug it out. I learned a lot with photoshop and illustrator doing this project, which is the point. I just wish the physical zines turned out more professional.
