The whole purpose behind my final glitch art project was to glitch my images to the max while also communicating a stronger message. All of my images feature different types of terrains and animals within them, sometimes fitting, sometimes not. By choosing different habitats, I wanted to depict how our human touch is affecting each area. Glitching the images in itself was literally a form of human touch on the images that contaminates them in a way. I wanted to show it could look interesting and visually encapsulating, but also slightly disturbing. I tried to glitch the bottom half of the images the most, slowly rising, as to show that these places are slowly drowning from our effects on the world. I really enjoyed this project and the process that came with it. I will definitely use these techniques to put a glitch on future pieces I make. I was not completely familiar with the category of glitch art beforehand, and I am so glad I know what it is now because I could definitely see myself getting into it for personal projects.
